These EEPROM chips can also be programmed with the older PCB3B software 0.97ja when the programmer is in PCB3B compatible mode.  Here is an example to show you how to program a SST27SF512:

1, Select chip type and software setting:
Now you will see the following screen:
Place the chip in the ZIF socket as pictured on that screen.  The half-moon in the chip should face toward the top,
towards the ZIF lever.

Then set the jumpers like below in yellow and erase the SST chip.
Then set the jumpers like below (Notice that the jumper for erasing has been removed).
Now choose the file you want to burn, and hit the"Program Chip"                button to start programming your chip.
